BauPG announced in the Federal Law Gazette

The Act Amending the Construction Products Act and Other Legal Provisions to Comply with Regulation (EU) 2024/3110 Laying Down Harmonised Rules for the Marketing of Construction Products (BauPG) was published today in the Federal Law Gazette. However, it not only amends the existing BauPG, but also individual provisions of the Water Resources Act (WHG) and the Building Energy Act (GEG). The BauPG will thus enter into force on 15 January 2026. However, the BauPG will only have practical significance for economic operators (e.g. manufacturers or distributors) when Regulation (EU) 2024/3110 (new EU Construction Products Regulation) also applies to individual construction products. This will only be the case, however, when harmonised technical specifications (hts) or European Technical Assessments (ETAs) become binding or can be applied in accordance with the new EU Construction Products Regulation.
