Dr. Henning Blatt

Career and range of services

Dr. Henning Blatt studied law in Hanover. He completed his legal training in mid-2009, including a period at the German Embassy in Phnom Penh. Between his two exams, he worked as a research assistant at Leibniz University Hannover and at the Institute for International Law and Humanitarian Law at Ruhr University Bochum, where he obtained his doctorate in 2010 on a topic of international law (under Prof. Dr. Volker Epping). After being admitted to the bar, he joined the public law team of a medium-sized commercial law firm based in Essen in October 2010, where he became a partner in 2016. In 2019, he moved to a commercial law firm in Düsseldorf as a partner. He has been a partner at FRANSSEN NUSSER since 2022.

Dr. Blatt primarily advises municipal and medium-sized companies and public authorities on environmental law and mining law and represents them in administrative and civil courts. Another focus of Dr. Blatt's practice is information law, namely freedom of information law and environmental information law, in which he regularly represents both claimants and defendants.
