Career and areas of expertise

David Klusmeyer studied law at the Free University of Berlin and passed his first state examination in Berlin in 2020. After working for six months at the Federal Ministry of Health, he completed an LL.M. degree in European and international law at Erasmus University Rotterdam, Netherlands. One key focus of his studies was on issues of European environmental law. David Klusmeyer completed his legal clerkship at the Berlin Higher Regional Court, with placements at the Federal Ministry of Justice (Department of Construction and Environment), a leading international commercial law firm and the European Commission's Directorate-General for the Environment, among others. David Klusmeyer has been working as an associate for FRANSSEN NUSSER since May 2025.

David Klusmeyer's practice focuses on environmental law, product and supply chain compliance. In this context, he primarily advises companies and trade associations in German and English. His advice includes communication with authorities and the handling of appeals and court proceedings.
